The book is a contribution to the wave of ”Knowledge Management” that has been very popular at the end of the nineties. The authors present a number of principles which apply to the exchange of knowledge within companies. The description of the knowledge market is particularly interesting. The assertion is that knowledge is traded internally in companies just as goods are traded in a market. These market forces are described. Examples illustrate what happens if IT-systems do not follow the market forces. Furthermore, the book presents a number of useful tools for the decoding, saving and rearranging of knowledge within organisations. |

The book is a good survey of the area of knowledge management. There are some very interesting points about the “knowledge market”, that is, “market prices” for the exchange of knowledge between people within an organisation (Benjamin Hansen). |
